Georgia's Biomedical Waste Rule
Thomasville-area facilities are regulated under Georgia EPD Rule 391-3-4-.15. The rule requires biomedical waste to be segregated where it's generated, held in leakproof, properly marked containers (sharps in rigid, puncture-resistant ones), and transferred only to an authorized collector.
